My journey in athletics has been so diverse that in the midst of it all, I knew I wasn't the only one who is supposed to experience the great benefits of optimal body movement and conditioning. If I had asked you "have you ever thought of your body as a vehicle to living your the highest quality of life?" what would you say? Well I can tell you, most people, even elite athletes, will say no.
What impact would me asking you: "have you ever had the thought that each muscle in your body has a purpose to support your posture and without having a well balanced understanding of this will lead to back injury or falls in your elderly years" have? Probably not much of an impact because there isn't anything wrong with you now and most believe they have a ton of time before they get to the "preserving" stage or just have never been asked the question. The truth is, problems in our bodies don't arise until the muscles can't take it anymore.... thus... here comes your injury wake up call.

The point is, whether you want to lose a ton of weight so you can look and feel energized and enjoy your life in this state, or get your sport specific training to new heights, physical intervention is an avenue everyone must pursue. How balanced is your life if you have your finances are in order, your careers/missions are in check, your relationship is good (but not great), and your physical body has been slipping or neglected? It's out of balance, period.

Why did I choose the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certifications (CPT & CNC)?
​
Simply put, I googled "what is the most recognizable personal trainer certification?" The answer was that the NASM CPT credential is widely recognized and respected across the globe. I wanted to have the best certification, I wanted the best information, backed by science. I wanted to build on my life of athletics, and years of studying the science, the human movement system (the body!), and biohacking for a better way of life. I'd be lying if I said that was my first thought, it was also because I am a high performance amateur boxer and I set out a goal to become an elite athlete, a true sportsman, in the process. What a better way for me to help people with all of this passion, and become the best sportsman I could be.
Not to mention, for the last 6 years I have been in the business (business to institutional business) of medical equipment sales and education for Safe Patient Handling and ergonomic awareness for nurses in hospitals and rehab setting all over the USA. I have always loved healthcare, and increasing the quality of peoples lives. It's been a deep passion for me to be a solution in this field and this has been an incredibly rewarding field to help people. I specialized and became certified in the industry under the Association of Safe Patient Handling for educating and using lifting aids/techniques for complex patients (we're talking 400-1000lbs, or elderly, or specific disabilities like spinal cord & injury hospitals). Safe to say, I wanted to know how to educate with all walks of life.
